Channel 4 has released the first trailer for It Gets Worse, its new comedy written and created by Leo Reich.

Made by A24, the series will be narrated by novelist Zadie Smith and features a guest cast that includes Andrew Scott, Lena Dunham, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Blake Harrison, Vicki Pepperdine and Clayton Pettet, known as Babymorocco.

It Gets Worse follows Ethan, Abi and Sam, best friends from university who are now dysfunctional roommates. A year after finally moving to London, they have collectively accomplished nothing, and their landlord is selling up, so they are being kicked out.

Channel 4 describes it as a show about three young people who look around at their humiliating jobs, non-existent love lives and rapidly dwindling will to live, and wonder whether it gets better than this. 

All episodes will be available to stream from 12.01am on October 22, with the series starting on TV that night at 10.05pm. 

It premieres at the London Film Festival on October 14.
