I saw this show in Brighton on 30 November, and was incredibly disappointed. I have loved Eddie's past work, and maybe my tastes have evolved. Tonight, I am sorry to say that I barely laughed at all. There was little spark to it, the material felt tired and old and blah - like I'd seen him do this all before. Contrary to Steve Bennett's review there was a great deal of the writing notes to himself and ahhh-ing, and the rambling and improvising that is usually so charming sometimes looked like poor writing and disinterest. I didn't feel that any of the jokes were instant classics (come on, the Noah's Ark/tigers eating the other animals joke is as old as time itself, however you tart it up). Perhaps back in November 2008 this was fresh and new and inspiring, and perhaps in a smaller venue it comes across better. Tonight it was just boring. Nicky, November 2009 |

I saw Eddie in Bournemouth on Sunday, exactly what I hope for - have waited years to see him and was not disappointed - really funny Mella Delargy, November 2009 |

Saw Eddie last night (23rd, Bournemouth). As a huge Eddie fan I was very, very disappointed. He seemed tired, bored and lacklustre...a bit like the audience beforehand if I'm honest. One of the quietest gigs I've ever been to - and I was six rows from the front, dead centre. Hope it was a one-off for him. Biggus Dickus, November 2009 |

Boo, Eddie! No other UK shows apart from London? Very disappointing. You've changed... Badger, November 2008 |
