Charlie Ross in Tracksuits and Munchkins
Did Dorothy know the offside rule? Top Scots comic Charlie Ross takes down his yellow brick road to discover what its like to be a butch guy in a camp world and love it.

Saw Charlie after reading a review in Scotsgay. And what a breath of fresh air! Kicks the self serving queenie rants of Julian Clary and Craig Hill right in to touch. Funny as Hell. Brilliant. George Reid, September 2003 |

Charlie's show is quirky, original and unpretencious. His witty and often wacky take on life left me in fits of laughter throughout most of the show. This guy, unlike many at this year's fringe, has an ego barely visible to the human eye which is his defining quality. Watch out for Charlie Ross in London Ritchie Mellor, September 2003 |

Funny as well as original. Ian Butchart, August 2003 |

I thought this guy was great - so refreshing to see a gay comic not relying on cheap knob gags or overt camp, when they are done its done with irony in a way I've not seen other gay comics do. Well worth seeing regardless of your own sexual preference David, August 2003 |

Unlike other gay comedy performers - being gay is not his act. Being funny is. If there is another Footballing, PE teaching, James Bond and Dr Who worshipping Friend of Dorothy comedy routine out there then I'd like to see it. With his unique take on popular culture, gay comedy has come of age with Charlie Ross. Fame awaits. Martin Walker, August 2003 |

Disgusted! A waste of an hour Patrick R, August 2003 |

Not an original thought in his wee gay head. He's the magpie of mirth. Jeff Duffy, August 2003 |

Wonderful! What an engaging and charming comedian. Kept us thoroughly entertained throughout. Would love to see more. Katherine, August 2003 |
