Bill Dewar and Brian Horrigan have an easy-going, unpretentious manner that keeps this show feeling fresh.

And that's a good job, because despite the new name, thus is almost exactly the same hour they performed last year, agreeably playing up the Scottish beer and chips stereotype with sketches and banter.

It's reasonably funny stuff, and certainly performed with a healthy dose of self-deprecation, even if some of the gags are starting to show their age.

The duo depend as much, if not more, on this affable spirit than they do on material. But it's hard to achieve the required level of enthusiasm among as small and disparate audience as the one they actually attracted - and the enjoyment suffered because of it.

Still, it's diverting enough, but second time around it certainly lacks that extra something that would really make it a show worth seeking out. And, if this really is the fourth year of the same, a hefty rewrite is surely well overdue.
