Original Review:

Show Rating:How To Avoid Huge Ships rated 1/5

An hour of three unfunny stand-up wannabes struggling for material.

That's not only a potted review of this show, it's also the plot. Very postmodern.

Three characters , whose only defining characteristic is that they are fundamentally not amusing, share a flat (which later, inexplicably and for no comic purpose turns out to be a submarine). It would be genius to make comedy capital from such an unpromising premise. Genius which these Cambridge students sadly, and very obviously, lack.

Having said that, there are some laughs to be had. Four, I think it was. And they all came from Alex Horne, who is genuinely trying to break into the comedy circuit, with some success.

As for the others, Tom Bell has the conviction and delivery of a turnip, and Emma Conway's negligible contribution was instantly forgettable.

Why anyone would want to waste £7.50 and an irreplaceable hour of their life on this pointless drivel is beyond me.
