It's the UK's most-repeated show

They made an incredible 295 episodes – and Last Of The Summer Wine is still the most-repeated show on TV, according to new research.

The comedy about hapless pensioners on the edge of the Peak District was shown 483 times in the first 90 days of the year... or five times a day.

Today, for example, Gold is showing six episodes (or, more accurately, three episodes twice). The number doubles if the timeshifted Gold +1 is added.

The series has enjoyed twice as many repeats as the second in the list,My Family, which was aired 233 times.

Summer Wine was axed in 2010 after 37 years, and My Family the following year after 11 years.

The top five most-repeated shows, as compiled by the British Comedy Guide, is completed by QI (179 repeat), Only Fools And Horses (161) and My Parents Are Aliens (157).

QI, along With Have I Got News For You at No 7 (126), are the only shows still to be making new episodes.
