Another series for Louis CK

FX renews Louie

Louis CK is to make another 13 episodes of his award-winning sitcom Louie.

America’s FX network has ordered a fourth series, as the current run prepares to come to an end with an hour-long special in late September.

Company president John Landgraf said; ‘There are not enough superlatives in the English language to bestow on Louie or the work Louis CK is doing.

‘With this series, he has changed the form and is doing truly groundbreaking, landmark work that is inspiring a whole new generation of artist. Simply put, he is making one of the best shows anywhere on television.’

Shot in New York, the series mixes a scripted story with his stand-up. Louis CK notably has a creative freedom on the show unheard-of on network TV, and serves as executive producer, writer, director, star and editor.
