Chortle has launched its first iPhone app, making it easy for comedy fans to keep up-to-date on the move.

A key function of the free app is the ‘find comedy near me’ button, which uses the handset’s inbuilt GPS device to locate gigs close to your current location.

Users can also read the latest comedy news direct from the app, watch funny videos we have selected from the web, and search Chortle’s vast listings database for future shows across the country. There’s also a direct link to the website for reviews and comedian profiles.

The app has been developed by Milk Bar Studios, who are currently working on an Android version, set to be launched soon.
