The premise of I Love My Country is that celebrity teams must compete to show who knows Britain best – with the studio audience divided into competing teams too.
The trio did a run-through on Tuesday night, with guests pulled from reality TV shows: Christine Hamilton from I’m A Celebrity; Brian Belo from Big Brother; Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes from Pop Idol; and Chico from X-Factor.
After the show, Walliams tweeted: ‘Today I took part in a run-through for a new BBC entertainment show. Frank Skinner was one of the team captains and my God he's a funny man.’
A full pilot is being recorded on July 23, and it is thought the series might launch by late summer.
