More for the Threesome

Comedy Central renews its sitcom

Comedy Central has ordered a second series of its first home-grown sitcom Threesome.

The first series of seven episodes, which aired from October, was the channel’s second most-watched show after Two And A Half Men, attracting an average of 210,000 viewers.

Now another seven episodes will take up where the last one ended: with Alice, Mitch and gay best friend Richie having a baby after an unplanned threesome – and deciding to bring her up alone.

Creator Tom MacRae, who has also worked on Doctor Who, tweeted: ‘I'm thrilled to announce a brand shiny new series of #comedy3some will be on your screens later this year! Alice, Mitch, Richie AND Lily!’

Comedy Central’s managing director Jill Offman added: ‘We’re delighted with the way series one performed straight out of the box and are pleased to be able to offer this talented team the chance to get together for a further seven episodes.’
