US sitcom pilot for Jim Jefferies

Comic goes Legit...

Stand-up Jim Jefferies is a step closer to his own American sitcom after the FX network ordered a rough pilot.

The broadcaster has commissioned a so-called ‘pilot-presentation’ of his show Legit. This is a one-day shoot for a ten-minute sampler, to give executives an idea of the look and feel of the show.

Legit would feature Australian Jefferies as a misanthrope trying to clean up his act.

It is the second American TV project Jefferies has worked on. The comic, who spent many years in the UK, previously had a comedy series in development at Comedy Central about his new life in the US.

News of the FX pilot was broken by Hollywood industry website Deadline.
