Fast Show 'set for reunion'

Cast in talks, Simon Day reveals

The Fast Show could be heading for a comeback, star Simon Day has revealed.

He said that the show’s creators have been in talks about a possible reunion – although refused to be drawn on the details.

Day, who is promoting his memoirs, told ITV’s Daybreak: ‘I can’t divulge too much at the moment but certain members of The Fast Show have been convened together in a room in utmost security. No telephones anywhere, and you know, there’s a possibility of something happening.’

The BBC show, which also starred Paul Whitehouse, Charlie Higson, Mark Williams, John Thomson and Caroline Aherne, ran from 1994 to 1997. They staged a farewell tour in 2002, and most of the cast reunited for a one-off show to launch a DVD in 2007.
