David Walliams to appear in Dr Who

David Walliams is to appear in the new series of Doctor Who – as an alien.
The Little Britain star told Chris Evans he would be filming the role soon.
Speaking on Radio 2 today, Walliams said: ‘I've actually been offered a part in Doctor Who, which I'm very, very excited about. I've said yes. I don't think I can say much, but I'll say I'm an alien."
Asked if he would like the title role someday, he said: ‘I think any actor wouldn't turn that down. I won't be cast now though because they're getting younger.’
The sixth series of Doctor Who is expected to return to BBC One this spring.
