Good News keeps on coming

Two new series for Russell Howard

BBC Three has commissioned two more series of Russell Howard’s Good News, taking it through to the end of next year.

The show, now in its third series, is the channel’s most successful entertainment show, achieving audiences of around 800,000 for a single show – but sometimes up to 1.4million. It has also regularly been the most-watched show on iPlayer across all BBC channels.

The show will return twice in 2011, with series 4 in the spring and series 5 in the autumn.

Karl Warner, the BBC’s executive editor for Eentertainment, said: ‘Russell has proved series after series that he's one of the best stand-up comedians and performers in the country.  We're thrilled to be working with him and the team throughout 2011.’
