Bishop's move

New radio show for Kevin

Star Story's Kevin Bishop is to star in a new radio show as an outspoken broadcaster.

He will play Les Kelly – a ‘one-man wrecking ball on a mission to fix broken Britain, by smashing up the broken bits’ – in the Radio 4 one-off to air over Christmas.

Les Kelly’s Broken Britain, which is being recorded in front of a live audience next week, will feature characters including a lollipop lady with OCD, a woman helping people afraid of Christmas baubles and a campaigner for guide dogs for sighted people.

The cast will also include Radio 4 regular Laurence Howarth and Dave Lamb, the voice of Come Dine With Me, and the show is being produced by Bill Dare – the man behind Dead Ringers and The Now Show.
