Cooking with Corbett

Ronnie works on new food show

Ronnie Corbett is working on a new show – all about food.

The Good Food digital channel has ordered an hour-long pilot episode of Ronnie Corbett’s Supper Club, to air in August.

In the episode, he will interview guest Rob Brydon about memories of great meals, choose his ‘last meal’ and his five ideal dinner guests, before the pair prepare a dish together.

Executive producer John Comerford from Talkback Thames told trade magazine Broadcast he was delighted to have secured ‘national treasure’ Corbett as host.

The pilot will be a returned favour for Brydon, who once interviewed the diminutive comic on his Keith Barret Show.

They also previously worked together on a sitcom co-written by David Walliams, in which Corbett played a playboy pensioner in an old folks’ home – but the series never made it to air.
