Katy Brand has cancelled at least three dates on her current tour – after breaking her toe on a doorstop.

She hurt herself on the ‘insanely positioned’ obstacle in a hotel on Thursday, causing her to pull out of that night’s show in Lancaster. But the injury has proved so bad she has called off tonight’s date in Salford and Monday’s in Newcastle, too.

Brand, 31, Tweeted yesterday: ‘Broken toe black and painful as it was two days ago, so with huge regret Salford and Newcastle shows are cancelled - so sorry.’

The comic, who made the finals of this year’s Lets Dance for Sport Relief, is on the road with her Big Ass Tour until June.
