Murray to debunk German stereotypes

Al Murray is to debunk German stereotypes in a new two-part documentary series for BBC Four.

The show, provisionally titled Al Murray’s Germany, will explore the country’s musical, artistic and literary legacy from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries.

Producer Anna Thomson said: ‘It’s a real journey that will dispel cultural prejudice and show how wrong the stereotypes are.’

The series is due to air next summer.

Meanwhile, BBC Four has also ordered an hour-long documentary about sidekicks, Sidekick Story, to air early next year.
