End of the road for Dave

Gorman completes his marathon bike ride

After 1,653 miles, Dave Gorman has completed his cycle ride the length and breadth of Britain.

The comic today reached Dunnet Head, the most northerly point in mainland Scotland, 32 days after setting out from Lizard Point in Cornwall.

He also visited the easternmost point, Lowestoft Ness, and the westernmost, Ardnamurchan – performing a full stand-up show every night on the way.

Gorman, 38, wrote on his website: ‘I'm exhausted. I'm also exceedingly proud. It's been an amazing month - the most exhilarating of my life - big thanks to everyone who came to a show and to everyone who's offered encouragement along the way. It's been much appreciated.’
