First TV comedy shot only on mobiles

MTV has commissioned the first TV comedy show to be shot entirely on mobile phones.

Get Rich is a hidden camera stunt show starring rappers Example and Doc Brown (the brother of bestselling novelist Zadie Smith), plus up-and-coming stand-up Marlon Davis.

But the show, currently in production, will be filmed entirely on Nokia N96 mobile phones.

It is being made by Brown Eyed Boy, which is also making an MTV2 series with American comic Rich Fulcher.

Best know for his roles in Mighty Boosh and Snuffbox, Fulcher plays a rock-and-role groupie called Eleanor in the series of the same name.

Brown Eyed Boy say: ‘We are taking sexual predator Eleanor - the tour whore and setting her loose on up-and-coming acts performing around the country.’

The company has already made this pilot:

Brown Eyed Boy is also working on a second series of sitcom How Not To Live Your Life with Dan Clark for BBC Three.
