Gervais 'offered his own US talk show'
But it's unlikely to happen
Ricky Gervais says has been offered his own American chat show - but is unlikely to take it.He says he will only take on the job will on his terms – and doubts he would genuinely be accepted as a host.
He told Star magazine: ‘I've actually been offered a chat show in America. I'd do it but I wouldn't want it to be current affairs and I wouldn't want it to be based around people plugging stuff.’
‘People already think I'm trespassing when I do a drama, so I don't think they could take me being a presenter or chat show host.’
