Borat make glorious victory in court

Three more lawsuits thrown out

Three more lawsuits against the Borat movie have been thrown out of court.

Driving instructor Michael Psenicska, dinner party hostess Cindy Streit and etiquette expert Kathie Martin had all claimed they were conned into taking part into the fake documentary

But New York City judge Loretta Preska said the three had given their consent by accepting money and signing release forms giving their consent to appear in a ‘documentary-style’ movie.

Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan, took £150million at the box office following its release in 2006, and attracted a lot of lawsuits from unwitting stars seeking a slice of the profits.

In April, judge Preska rejected another defamation suit brought by the businessman whom Borat tries to hug on the streets of New York.

Another case brought by the college frat boys whose boorish behaviour was caught on tape was dismissed in Los Angeles last year; while two residents of Glod, Romania, which stood in for Borat’s fictional home village, unsuccessfully tried to sue 20th Century Fox for $30m, claiming they were depicted as rapists and criminals.

Here are the clips that were the subject of the latest failed lawsuit:
