Dating show for McGuinness

Paddy hosts C4 pilot

Paddy McGuinness is set to host a prime-time dating show likened to a ‘cattle market’.

The comic will be recording a pilot episode of Take Me Out, with a view to a full series on Channel 4.

The programme will feature a series of single men trying to impress a group of 30 women, who will switch off a light to indicate if they don’t fancy the potential date at first sight. The man then performs a party piece, or plays a video, to try to keep the rest on side.

A Channel 4 told trade magazine Broadcast: ‘Like real dating, it takes all the superficial information women use to judge men, then magnifies it and puts it in a studio - it's the cattle market of dating shows.’
