Silverman to play the UK

London gig on October 19

Sarah Silverman is coming to perform in the UK next month.

The outspoken American comedian will be performing at the Hammersmith Apollo on October 19.

It will be her first gig in Britain, save for her appearance at the 2006 Secret Policeman’s Ball benefit in the Royal Albert Hall – and experience which she said was ‘fun and exciting’.

‘Everyone was so nice and I had a blast. I was mostly impressed by the audience, so many standing. I went on about four hours in and everyone was still into it.’

Silverman’s concert film, Jesus Is Magic, has just had a limited cinema release in the UK – and will be released on DVD on October 20, the day after her Hammersmith date.

The gig has not yet been officially announced, and it is not known whether any further nights or cities will be added.

But tickets – priced £35 and £42 – are available now. Click here to buy.
