He's a Strait guy...

Walliams plans another charity swim

David Walliams is to embark on another demanding swim for charity – crossing the Strait of Gibraltar.

The Little Britain comic will join Olympic rowing champion James Cracknell for the 12-mile swim across the busy shipping channel for Sport Relief next month.

It is the last leg of the gold medallist’s 1,400-mile trip to Africa under his own power. He will row the Channel, cycle through France and Spain, then swim to Morocco with Walliams for company.

Cracknell, 35, said: ‘I’m going to need all the help I can get by the end of this challenge and David is a real pro. So having him there on the day will be a massive boost.’

Walliams, 36, swam the Channel for Sport Relief two years ago, covering the 21 miles in an impressive 10 hours and 34 minutes.
