Clary breaks his foot

Julian in panton fall

Julian Clary has broken his foot after taking a fall in pantomime.

The comic chipped a bone in his tight foot and sprained his ankle and wrist in the tumble at Liverpool’s Empire Theatre.

But after falling during a dance scene in the matinee performance of Cinderalla, he returned for the evening show.

Clary, 46, said: ‘I'm in absolute agony. I'll finish the season in a wheelchair which we'll get glammed up.’

A spokesman at the theatre, where Clary is playing Prince Charming's sidekick Dandini, added: ‘He's proof the show must go on.’
