Gervais voices video game gangster

Ricky Gervais is to be the voice of a Miami gangster in a new computer game based on the Al Pacino movie Scarface.

Ricky told Nuts magazine: ‘I'm doing one of those voices that comes up whenever people get killed or something.

‘Perhaps I shouldn't have told you that. I think it may be top secret.  But I'm pretty excited about it.

‘It should be pretty impressive.’

Pacino has lent his likeness to the game, Scarface: The World  Is Yours, and other voices include Steven Bauer, who played Manny Ray in the original film, Michael York and American comic Jay Mohr.

Coincidentally, Gervais has been the victim of organised crime.  The attempted £200,000 theft from his bank account is believed to have been the work of an unknown bank insider believed to have links to mafia-style gangs.

Recently joked that if he was ever to be knighted he’d want the Mafia title Don Gervaise.

The game will be released on PlayStation, PC and Xbox in February. Click here to pre-order it
