Blair turns yellow

PM to appear on The Simpsons

Tony Blair is to appear on The Simpsons on Sunday.

The Prime Minister, who is said to be a big fan of the show, recorded his dialogue in April.

The episode, entitled The Regina Monologues, sees the cartoon family come to London and its broadcast on America's Fox network coincides with President Bush's visit to the UK.

Actor Sir Ian McKellen and Harry Potter author JK Rowling also appear in the show.

The whole family are invited to tea at Downing Street; Lisa Simpson meets Rowling at a bookstore and Bart taunts McKellen by repeatedly uttering the name of "the Scottish play" Macbeth', causing an accident to befall him.

The episode will air on Sky One in January.
