Hill's last stand

Benny's final show out on DVD

The last show Benny Hill ever made is to be released on a new DVD and video.

Hill recorded the programme, Benny Hill's World, in New York in 1991 - after his lucrative Thames TV deal was axed after 20 years.

Financed by American impressario Don Taffner, the show was intended to be the first of a six-part series - but Hill's death a few months later curtailed the plans.

It was screened as two half-hour programmes in 1994, but the footage, shot around Central Park, is still rare.

Now specialist label DD Video is releasing the programme, which also stars Henry McGee, Bob Todd and the Hill's Angels, Benny Hill, on Monday November 3, priced £7.99 on video or £9.99 on DVD. Call 01829 741490 to order.
