R4 to air radio spoof

Radio 4 has commissioned a new comedy show based around a spoof radio station.

Radio Nine is the creation of Johnny Daukes, pictured, who provided the voices in Eurotrash and co-wrote the new BBC3 comedy Monkey Dust.

He recruited stand-up Hils Barker to co-write the show, and used the skills he learned as a former pop video editor to produce the show in his home studio.

Four half-hour programmes will be aired on Wednesday nights at 11pm from October 29.

Sample sketches can be heard online at Radionine.com
