Marion and Geoff star Rob Brydon is writing a romantic comedy film, which he also plans to star in.

He Said She Said is being developed for BBC Films by a new TV and film production company Byrdon set up with his manager, Paul Duddridge.

The company, Jones The Film, is also working on a DVD of Brydon's Marion and Geoff stage show, which tours the UK from next month. Dates

It is also looking to back projects not involving Brydon, MediaGuardian reports, such as a proposed TV show featuring comedians Bob Mills and Gina Yashere.

Marion and Geoff was produced by Steve Coogan's production company, Baby Cow.
