Charities 'ave it

Kay's gigs aid good causes

Peter Kay is to donate the proceeds from two of his stand-up shows to charity.

The NSPCC and the Christie's Against Cancer charities are among those to benefit from next month's shows at the Manchester Apollo and Blackpool Opera House.

The venues will also be donating their hire fees to charity for the £25-a-head shows just announced. Tickets go on sale on Monday.

Kay said: "Life's too short, and it's always good to give a bit back."

"The tour's called My Mum Wants a Bungalow tour, which is true, I am going on tour to buy her a bungalow. She'll be wanting the whole road if it keeps going like this."
