Comedian Arj Barker has landed a dream job - hosting a TV show alongside former Baywatch babe Carmen Electra.

The American stand-up, who spends part of his year performing on the UK circuit, is to front the American version of Robot Wars.

Comedy Central has signed the 30-year-old San Franciscan to present Battle Bots.

Station vice-president Deborah Liebling, told Hollywood bible Variety: "Battle Bots has always been a revolving door for us in terms of faces.

"We are so committed to comedians and getting them on the air, and certain shows lend themselves to that."
