...but it's not for everyone

Controversial American stand-up Doug Stanhope is releasing a new DVD, No Refunds, in the UK to coincide with a run of live dates in London next week – and we have ten copies to give away.

The ‘unsettling, uninhibited’ comedian is playing six dates at the Leicester Square Theatre from Tuesday – but warns that his act is ‘like animal porn: not for everyone’.

And on September 7, the Pias label is releasing Stanhope’s DVD No Refunds in Britain. Previously only available as a US import, the show was recorded live at New York’s Gotham Comedy Club.

Publicity for the release says: ‘It would be a bad mistake to think that this is all about drink, drugs, and shagging conjoined twins. Stanhope is a raging, vitriolic, viciously coruscating critic of the stupidity of the political system and the moronic saps who sustain it’.
