A comic who has certainly gone off the boil. First time I saw him at Jongleurs I thought he was electric. Now his jokes are as tired as a pensioner who's run out of viagra.

Another frisky, smooth-tongued comic ready to give an original (often topical) slant on life and love. Not the first or the last, but worth checking out.
Michael Monkhouse, March 2008
Not the most original material in the world, but well delivered and funny. Made the room laugh, I think that's what comedians are supposed to do - very enjoyable.

Stole the show at the Comedy Store when we saw him this week. With Andy Parsons on the bill that takes some doing!

Went to not one but two of Paul's shows at the Fringe in Saskatoon (Canada). Brilliant, intelligent, very funny. Well versed in Canadian context. The call backs he does are very clever. Doesn't hit people over the head with his humour. He has well crafted bits that make you feel as though they're totally fresh. Timing is wonderful, lets things simmer and sink in so you don't feel hurried through the show. Next trip to England, we'll find out where he's performing. Lovely man

Saw him today at the Fringe Festival in Toronto 2006. I just enjoyed his doubts from an English perspective about Canadians,." Obviously he had done his homework about Canada. Very intelligent, very funny political remarks.
Silvia Porras, July 2006
Saw him last night as MC at Comedy Store Manchester- brilliant comparing performance, could have gladly listened to him all evening. Funny, quick, sharp and likeable

Good at Reading last night. Very quiet room but a lot of the topical gags got a decent laugh. Agree with the review about his amiable and cheeky manner, also agree about the material.
