Born in Australia but moved to London in the late Nineties, he took up comedy in about 2005. |

![]() Mike O'Donovan had a warmth to his unhurried delivery, but he took far too long to set up such idea as lazy people being transported on airport travellators or the mathematical impossibility of ‘giving 110 per cent’. In his best moments, he hints at a seam of abject depression that has the potential to be used to better effect – but this wasn’t his night; and he seemed to know it. |

Saw him upstairs at the Quadrant in Brighton, and he must have come on a bit since the date of the review - no more guitar, and an assured, original and most importantly very funny set. Definitely one to watch out for. Jamie, April 2009 |

Mike O'Donovan had me in fits, great stuff mate. Tarkan Paphiti, April 2008 |
|
He headlined Pear Shaped recently (along with his guitar which I had never seen or heard before) he was excellent! Brian Damaqe, March 2008 |
|
I've seen Mike several times this year and every time he has stormed the set. Don Biswas, March 2008 |
