The album – which Chortle first reported on earlier in the month – will be released on Decca Records on October 6.

The comic said: 'I feel so incredibly lucky to have been asked to record this album especially with a respected record company like Decca – what are they playing at?!!

'From singing with my Nana's band as a young boy to appearing in huge musical productions, I've loved singing for as long as I can remember. Their support and both my Nana's passion for music has led to this momentous moment in my life.'

The  album also featues two duets: with Kate Rusby and Rosie Bates.

Manford has played Pirelli in the West End revival of Sweeney Todd, took the lead role of Leo Bloom in The Producers when it toured the UK in 2015 and played Caractacus Potts in the 2016/17 tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
