James makes me laugh too. Ignore this review. Must have been an off night.
A review such as this for a very funny young comic who recently won the Reading comedy festival and that I have seen time and time again entertain the masses, seems at best harsh and at worst vindictive. Maybe it's the great British tradition of knock those who you envy but luckily for us, himself and the many people that will be entertain by him in the future. I'm sure James will treat the author of the piece as if he were that very same retarded seven year old and continue doing what he is doing. As for James Mason stubbornly refusing to show any enthusiasm for anything, this my friends is not an act to be like anyone this is simply James and long may it be.
James makes me laugh.
James Mason is a fantastic act. He is funnier than a very funny thing happening on a particulary funny day to someone who was is a bit of a silly mood anyway. Fact.
I do wish Chortle wouldn't keep knocking new acts. Chortle seems to have a policy to put people off newbies so they'll flock to the established performers gigs and thus encourage the advertising from the big promoters on the site. Shame on you. Everyone has to start somewhere and these mean reviews seem to be a millstone around performer's necks long after they've developed and honed their acts to a higher level of accomplishment.
