I enjoyed Inder's set, even if it didn't blow me away. The approach is formulaic but still funny, and the ethnic stuff's nothing original but still raised laughs galore. Would def see him again, even if it's just to see what all the fuss is really about.

An absolutely blinding performance on Saturday night from Inder Manocha. A relaxed performance that still managed to captivate the whole audience. One of the best stand-ups I have seen.

Inder's relaxed style mixed with his brilliant observational/cultural humour is a winning formula that is not to be missed. I cannot recommend him highly enough

After seeing Inder perform in the fringe this year I wish to retract my comments below. I have now seen the full effect of this man's talents and indeed when watching an edited condensed version on the telly have realised that his material is a lot more thought-provoking then first appearances. His style of pull back and reveal is amazing and you hardly see any punchline coming before it's too late. Suddenly bam, you are laughing and dont know why, He is also a honest quiet almost shy modest man who would do well to take on the world as i am sure he would win.

I saw Inder on Saturday night at Jongleurs in Reading and have to say that I thought he was absolutely superb. Had the whole audience in fits with his wit, delivery and perfect timing. 10/10 Mr Manocha

I saw him last night and have already recommended him to everyone at work. Who cares if a comic isn't groundbreaking? Inder doesn't seem to think so either, and gets on with what a good comic should do, making me almost wet myself with laughter. Thanks Inder, great show at West Ruislip.

I saw Inder on Friday night and thought the act started very well, funny and lighthearted, but seemed to lose track when the soap box was jumped on and the laughs got lost in the ranting.
David - 28/07/2005
Extremely funny and talented
Auntie Ania - 26/04/2005
Truly talented and original.
Nat - 11/04/2005
He has a refined and deeply intelligent wit that undoubtedly builds upon the legacy of the Goodness Gracious/ Kumar genre but propels the Anglo-Asian dialogue forward in a way they never could.
Oliver Cownden - 10/03/2005
I started laughing from the beginning when he told us he was the love child of Loyd Grossman . Avery funny man with a unique take on life and what makes us tick.
Jim Woroniecki - 16/02/2005
Inder Manocha is a class act. For an Asian comic, or any comic, who has a very widespread appeal,is consistently gut-bustingly funny yet also intelligent, insightful and thought-provoking, Manocha is your man.
Anna - 16/02/2005
My sides hurt from laughing. I can't wait to see him again.
Doj - 14/02/2005
I feel the review was 100 per cent accurate. You are taking yourself a bit too seriously , Inder, and maybe if you lighten up a bit your undoubted comic mind will open up and your performances will improve as a result.
Nik Hill - 10/02/2005
I saw Inder last year and my impression that here was an intelligent man with some great material and a well crafted set; certainly not stereo typical, just a great stand up.
Mac Star - 09/02/2005
As a promoter must agree with the reviewer, I have seen Inder at the Comedy Store programme and he seem lacklustre. May be it had something to do with the other comics on the bill. I really think that perhaps Inder should take a close look at his material as I recall a line about what if an Asian was in star-trek and that one was televised. Also perhaps becoming upset with the review is not the best course of action. I do think Inder is talented but as he himself admits will not push any boundries.
Neill - 02/02/2005
I think the review does a disservice to this intelligent, articulate and very, very funny man.
Inder Manocha - 01/02/2005
Having read this review I felt obliged to respond because of its inaccuracies. For instance, I do not do material about 'what would it be like if an Asian man was in Star Trek or Taxi Driver'. The jokes referred to have a different angle and this misrepresentation creates a false impression of what is being said. I have also never supposed or stated that what I am doing is 'groundbreaking'; so how the reviewer is able to draw such a conclusion I find interesting. I find it a shame that a site which is read by a huge number of people, including perhaps people in radio and TV who want to quickly check out comics, is conveying important inaccuracies and presumptions which distort the reality of what is being done on stage. And to suggest that the Kumars and Goodness Gracious Me are 'pretty much all we've got' in terms of Asian comedy does a disservice to the Asian comics on the circuit who talk about their cultural background.

I totally agree with Chortle. Inder is OK, thats it really

Brillant, his delivery is breathaking.

Brilliant man, you gotta see him. Not only funny as hell but also clever, witty using intelligent humor.
Al - 16/01/2004
Saw him last night and howled with laughter.
Sam Kay - 19/12/2003
