Saw Howard this weekend at WSPA Benefit. He was excellent, his humour having an almost child-like quality even while talking about becoming a dad. Absolutley loved the song about Mrs. Grimshaw!!!

Saw him as compere last night in Harrogate. Brilliant, laid back charm and refreshingly intelligent wit. Also loved the song about putting the kids to bed.Would love to see a full act.

Tyrannosaurus impressions, banjo-assisted songs, witty observations... And littlehoward.co.uk is absolute genius

I don't think words can convey how utterly awful Howard is. I had to endure his excruciating performance as he "supported" Marcus Brigstocke. He is crass and immature and made almost every audience member feel uneasy - some frontrowers even walked out because they'd had enough of being insulted.

Very funny, should have got a Perrier. His songs are exquisite, helped by the great arrangements from Banks & Wag. They deserve more recognition. And work.

Howard Read was so good last night at a compare that he almost stole the show from the other comics. Even when he was heckled he handled it like water off a ducks back. Absolutely brilliant.

Have never laughed so much especially at the finale song all about a young boy in the sweet shop
