Wot they all going on about? Ed ain't racist! Well, sometimes what he says might sound a bit racist but he ain't really.

Ed is a great and friendly comic. He is aways trying something new and has a mind full of new and outrageous ideas. He's awesome and racist he ain't!

I'm a bit surprised at this review. I rarely comment on these things but just had to say that I've seen Ed a few times now and have found him to be an affable act and in no way racist or bordering on racist. The joke in question is told with a heavy dose of irony and I have seen it go down well. I am sure the reviewer saw him on a bad night because Ed is generally regarded as a good new act with the potential to go far.

This review makes me angry. One of the warmest and friendliest guys on the circuit who prides himself in performing anti BNP and anti Fascist material is named as "borderline racist". A classic Chortle review that illustrates the reviewer has no idea about comedy. The review is a joke and libellous - go see him and make your own mind up.

You sure you listened properly? Racial Stereotypes are not racist. they are stereotypes. something pointed out that often enough, is evident in a group. Saying that polish shops seem to have an seemingly endless supply of random meat for consumption isnt racist. wtf! and I know the doorman immigration joke in question....is he being racist about the english there or something? hapazard review at best

You must have seen him on a very bad night as, in my opinion, Ed O'Meara is incredibly funny. A master at winning over audiences with an enegetic and amiable style that makes him anything but racist or offensive. He has great material and a great presence and I am quite frankly amazed at the negativity of this review.

I was at this gig too. I think it was unfair to review a 5 min set from a newer act trying new material. Ed did not know until afterwards that Chortle were in the room reviewing. He also wasn't well but had attended the gig so as not to let Laughing Horse down Although the comment "borderline racist" doesn't actually state Ed IS racist, people who don't know Ed will think he is racist. And its simply not true.
