Charlie Chuck is a pure comedy legend. Saw him years ago on The James Whale Show and have loved him ever since. "Get out of me bread shop!!"
Jim Clarke - 01/03/2010
As someone that watches an awful lot of comedy and has done for a number of years, by far the most overlooked comedian is Charlie Chuck. He has by far the best 40 minutes of comedy that anyone has ever produced and certainly no one currently, or for the last 20 years or so, can match. One day, i am sure that this will be noted by the masses, but unfortunately when it is too late, probably. If you haven't seen Charlie Chuck live, you have never been to a real comedy gig.

I was made up when Charlie agreed to perform at our Red Cross fundraising event. And he didn't disappoint me, or his fans who'd bought tickets purely for some Charlie madness! One of the stand-out highlights of the night that everyone loved! Everyone in the office now takes an age to make a cup of tea: 'I'll have one if you're making one. Oherwise I'm not bothered. If you're making one, I'll have one.."' etc. Loved by young and old. Brilliant
john freeman - 14/12/2007
Absolutely brilliant. Not everyones cuppa but he's up there with the true geniuses of comedy like WC Fields. Pleeeze bring Charlie Chuck back to our TV screens and get rid of some of those smug fuckers who inhabit our comedic lives at the moment. In over 60 years of watching comedians great and small, Charlie Chuck is one of the very best

Charlie Chuck should be the next PM. Oh, I wish there was a Charlie Chuck face mack and wig, I'd wear it all the time.
chem - 07/04/2007
Absolutely fucking useless! Should be thrown to a pack of hungry pitbulls.
scott patmore - 17/02/2007
The man is a genius, I get laughter all year round due to living in the same village.
Matt - 12/10/2006
I saw him live at Glastonbury 1999 comedy tent, it was 10.30 Sunday night, and after a long and ferocious recreational drugs binge, he blew me away, I didn't know whether to have a heart attack from the laughing, or hide from him and cry. Pure class.
Grimace - 25/08/2006
Charlie Chuck is a fucking legend, ever since I first saw him on the James Whale show years back I have been a fan. The humour is first class, just what kind of thing I find funny. I too still shout Donkey when at the beach! Long may he entertain
Joe - 06/07/2006
The man is a genius, a living legend. Seek him out
Kilkenny Kitten - 06/06/2006
A true genius and a one off. The mould was broken when he was made. Long may he live.me, he was a great MC last night at the Kilkenny Ormonde.
Stu M - 29/05/2006
I remember him on James Whale, kicking the crap out of his drum kit, then going off hiding, then peering out like a naughty boy. I nearly laughed myself stupid and the image doesn't go away. Very very funny fella.
Gaz - 25/05/2006
This guy is the business.Roll up a few jazz Woodbines, and you'll piss your pants
Lee - 23/05/2006
I've been a comedy club fanatic for about eight years and Chuck was the first act I ever went to see and nothing has bettered it. I'm not alone in thinking that he is the best live preformer in Britain. I can't wait to see him again
Peter - 16/02/2006
Vic and Bob re-introduced him as Uncle Peter.. and he was perfect for their off the wall style. Love to see him back. 'Get out of my cake shop...' Legend
WDW - 14/02/2006
I saw him for the thirrd time, his act was identical to the previous ones, but it was still hilarious
Dave - 28/01/2006
Emperors New Clothes. I just don't find him funny at all
Mark - 11/12/2005
Mad as a box of frogs, half of his act made no sense whatsoever. It was lunacy at its best. Me and a couple of others were dragged onstage by him to sing a song about ducks - laughed all night, not sure what at
Bucko - 07/11/2005
The biggest hair in comedy mad and fantastic
Tom - 28/09/2005
A complete legend fantastic entertainer
Kevin - 07/09/2005
Charlie is a true genius. I saw him once on a bus in Manchester and he had everyone in fits. Where is he now? He deserves his own series.
Gary Pears - 06/09/2005
Tried to see Charlie at Mexborough but he was booed off by an audience of trogolodytes half mad on lager and BSE, would like to see a whole show.
Rob - 27/07/2005
Can never say the word 'donkey' without thinking of him. people think I have learning disabilities whenever I go to a beach Rob 27.07.05
Smarty - 17/06/2005
The first time i saw Charlie "live" at the Leeds City Varieties i thought i would have to go to hospital because i laughed so hard i thought my insides had burst! brilliant comic genius, southerners or arty uni types wont get all his jokes because he is basically a nutter from Leeds.
Sean - 17/05/2005
Absolute genius
Ryan D - 16/05/2005
Brilliant. Anybody who doesn't appreciate him is a fool.
Cakey Pig - 09/05/2005
Donkey! Woof bark bow wow! Charlie's one of the true underrated greats and disappeared into obscurity like the famous Les (he loves the spirit level!) Much missed from our screens
Albert Walmsley - 04/05/2005
Loved his comments in Grumpy Old Men which has just shown in Australia. Maybe one day you will make it out here for a show. Cheers.
Emma - 28/04/2005
Possibly the worst comedian I have seen. Saw him at Lincoln Uni, were he bombed on stage. People were leaving, he was that bad. Will avoid in future.
Mike T - 22/04/2005
Long time since i've seen this nutter, but I'll never forget seeing him on James Whale. I find him hilarious but for the life of me I don't know why. I don't think his act stands up to analysis at all. Does anyone remember when he did the Queens Speech on the James Whale show? My ribs were sore with laughing so much.
Chris - 26/03/2005
Absolute class, and funny as fuck. Somebody bring him back to our screens, and soon...
Richard - 19/03/2005
Is comedy saying random words and acting stupid, I don't think it is. Truly truly hideous, the only time i've ever walked out of a comedy gig. People just seem to laugh because they're scared to admit they don't get him Richard 19.03.05
Steve C - 15/03/2005
The guy is crazy, mad, insane and funny as fuck. He is a genius. Hope he tours again. In Southport a couple of grandparents turned up with their grandchildren.. They just sat there gobsmacked and went home at the interval.
Jeff - 12/03/2005
First saw Charlie on the James Whale show, at the time I was working in a printers and I had a large picture of him in my wall. Where is he now? I wanna see him again! my girlfriend got rid of the picture because she said it used to put of when we had sex.. I cant imagine why...
Michael Cole - 06/03/2005
The best this country has produced. I need to see more of this kind of comedy
Tony Smith - 25/01/2005
Charlie Chuck?,the greatest comedy act since time started, saw him years ago at Milligan's in Walsall, and been waiting for him to come back to the Midlands ever since.
Mark Bithell - 30/11/-0001
One of the funniest comedians ever. His Double Decker ads were brilliant too.
