In setting up the country, called Lovely, Wallace invaded an island in the Thames, petitioned of the UN and made an application for the 2012 Olympic Games.
Danny started his career as a comedy reviewer, then as a producer. As Dave Gorman’s flatmate, he encouraged such ambitious ventures as tracking down his namesakes. Since then, he’s set up his own cult based around random acts of kindness, vowed to say ‘yes’ to every question that came his way, and fronted a Horizon documentary about how close chimpanzees are to humans.
More recently, he presented BBC One’s Castaway, appeared on the nostalgia-based panel show School’s Out and exposed myths in Danny Wallace’s Hoax Files.
To mark the release of his new DVD, ‘King’ Danny will answer questions put by Chortle readers, with copies of How To Start Your Own Country going to the five best.
