On Monday 16th March 2020, Boris Johnson announced to the UK public: 'Now is the time to stop non-essential contact and travel.' With a lockdown imminent, and absolutely zero savings in the bank as a jobbing actor, Desmond Hinks feared the worst, and had a temporary job at his local Tesco by the Friday. He was sacked the following Friday after his shelf-stacking escapades under his Diary of a Temporary Tesco Worker on Facebook attracted over 10 million views in a week, including the not-so-impressed manager of his local store.
