Vicky Frango – Original Review

Review by Steve Bennett

Frango is clearly a very talented performer, bringing the characters who populate her routines to life with keenly observed mimicry,

Her strongest suit is the slightly surreal observational stuff, which perfectly evokes the Woodehousian world of her posh Cheltenham Ladies' College background.

But it's a shame such brilliant and effective characterisations, honed down to the slightest turn of phrase, are somewhat wasted on material that relies too heavily on the sick and scatological to generate a shock reaction and an easy laugh. She is really much better than that.
