Chris O’Dowd has a dog called Potato – who can sing the theme tune to the American version of The Office.

The comic actor demonstrated his pet's talent on Conan O'Brien's US talk show last night.

But asked to explain the name of the Jack Russell cross, O'Dowd said: 'There was some in joke I can't quite remember. Now when I'm in the park people think I have Irish Tourettes, "Potato! Potato!"'

But whether Potato's response to the Office them is positive or negative, O'Dowd hasn't quite worked out...
