The finalists have been announced for the Not-So-New Comedian Of The Year competition run by London’s Leicester Square Theatre.

The contest had previously been known as Old Comedian Of The Year, was was rebranded amid fears the name was putting off potential entrants. Comics have to be just 35 or older to qualify.

Taking part in the final on Wednesday night are Arielle Souma, David Mills, Davina Bentley, Declan Kennedy, Emily McQuade, Gatis Kandis, Graeme Collard, Lolly Jones, Nick Horseman, Pete White, Russell Arathoon and Sean Craig Turner.

The show will be compered by 85-year-old Lynn Ruth Miller, pictured, and headlined by last year’s winner, Ade Campe, the alter-ego of Naomi Paxton.
