Entries open for New Comedian Of The Year

Entries are open for the Great Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year.

Now in its fifth year, the competition is open to any non-professional act who’s been performing for five years or under, including character acts, musical acts, and sketch groups are also welcome. 

The winner will receive £750, runner up £500, and 3rd placed £250.

Last year’s title was won by Mark Grimshaw.

Heats and semi-finals will be staged nightly from July 18 to 26 in the early evening in The Basement bar in York, with the final at the prestigious Grand Opera House, on Saturday July 27.
