CBBC orders 52 new episodes

 CBBC has ordered a second series of Dennis & Gnasher: Unleashed! from Beano Studios.

Another 52 11-minute episodes will now be made, starring Freddie Fox as the mischievous cartoon hero.

The first series was the highest rated animated show on CBBC at launch for 6-12-year-olds and was nominated for an international Emmy. It has since been sold to 24 countries including Germany, Italy and France.

Emma Scott, chief executive of Beano Studios said: ’It’s great to see that the Beano characters resonate with today’s young audiences globally. We hope that the new series with Dennis and his gang will empower and encourage everyday rebellion, unlimited imagination and big laughs for kids everywhere.’
