Archer comes to Freeview

Animated spy comedy on new DMAX channel

Animated spy comedy Archer is to be available free to view in the UK for the first time.

The show, starring H. Jon Benjamin as a narcissistic, womanising spy, originally launched on American cable network  FX in 2009.

It has previously been available on Viceland,  5Star and Netflix in the UK – but will be part of the schedule for new channel DMAX, which launches next Wednesday  on Freeview Channel 42.

Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Chris Parnell, Judy Greer, Amber Nash and George Coe also lend their voices to the show, which was created by Adam Reed.

It won the Primetime Emmys in 2016 for outstanding animated programme.

Other shows on DMAX’s launch schedule include motorbike show Goblin Works Garage,  extreme survival show Naked and Afraid, Alaskan adventure series Life Below Zero and cult culinary sensation Man Vs Food.
